Zachary S. Stephens, 21, of Rockford, IL, died unexpectedly on August 31, 2008. Zachary was born November 9, 1986 in Rockford, IL the son of Aaron Stephens and Melissa (Payne) Blaser. Zachary had attended Jefferson High School and was currently working as a host and server at Outback Steakhouse on East State Street in Rockford. Zachary loved spending time with his son Gavin, sky diving, computers, football, music, especially Rap and writing songs, and was planning to attend a CNC Lathe Class in mid-September. Zachary is survived by his son Gavin S. Stephens (special friend Cassie Kramer his father, Aaron Stephens; his mother and step-father, Melissa and Mike Blaser; his two sisters, Amber Stephens and Taylor Smith; his grandparents, Lorena Stephens, Jim (Judy) Stephens, Ken and Lorna Frost and Gary and Shirley Blaser; his aunts, Elizabeth Young, Paula Stephens and Denise (Marc) Purvis; his uncles, Don Young and Dan (Michele) Blaser and several cousins and friends. Zachary was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Robert and Patricia Young. Funeral services for Zachary will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr, Sr. officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service.
