Yung S. Yun

Yung S. Yun, 83, of Rockford passed away Friday February 9, 2018. He was born November 20, 1934, in Euiriung, South Korea, the son of Sam and Chom Cho (Kim) Yun. Married Jeong Sook (Nam) Yun on November 28, 1961. Yung was an elder of Rockford Korean Presbyterian Church and where he volunteered his time.
Survived by his wife, Jeong Sook Yun; children, Sung Yun, Carol Popovich, Luann (Ross) Pelz and Patrick Yun; grandchildren, Susan (Brandon) Fields, David (Jeni) Popovich, Faith Popovich, Grace Popvich, Ashley Pelz, Ricky Pelz, Nikolai Yun and Sasha Yun; great grandchildren, Neal Popovich and Oliver Popovich. Predeceased by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel.
