Xi Dao

Xi Dao, 75, passed away on February 22, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born June 17, 1944 in Vietnam, son of Ly Dao and Lien Le, he graduated high school and went on to marry the love of his life, Ngoc Nguyen in 1967 in Saigon, Vietnam. They came to the United States in 1995. Xi had a strong work ethic, taking pride in everything he did. He loved to travel with his wife and family, and he loved watching television when he could.
He will be missed by those who loved him most, his wife; Children Hanh (Nhan Nguyen) Dao, Tuan (Trinh Nguyen) Dao, Loan (Thinh Nguyen) Dao, Hung (Tanya Nguyen) Dao and Dung (Roxy Nuguyen-Dao) Dao; grandchildren Tai and Oanh Nguyen, Tran and Tien Dao, Anh and Phat Nguyen, Patrick, Philip, and Peter Dao, Derek and Emily Nguyen, and Deron and Ryan Dao; Siblings Tam Dao, Su (Dien Nguyen) Dao and Thong (Thang Le) Dao. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Xinh Dao.
Visitation for Xi will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford Il 61108 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Service will be on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, Illinois 61109.
