Wilma Joyce Parson

Wilma Joyce Parson, 84, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born on August 2, 1938, in Portageville, MO. Wilma married Albert J. Parson, Sr. on November 22, 1951, in Mississippi. He passed away on October 8, 2013. Wilma was a member of Pelley Road Christian Fellowship Church for many years.

Survived by her children, Joyce (Taylor) Ford Hoffman, Brenda (Maxey) Holmes, Albert Parson, Jr., Martha Caiosso, Steve (Joanne) Parson, John (Debbie) Parson and Jerry (Mary) Parson; her son-in-law, Joe Redmond; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her sister, Novella. Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Albert Parson, Sr; her daughter, Cindy Dale Sams; her granddaughter, Angel Redmond and her daughter-in-law, Teresa Parson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the funeral home and again from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday.
