William Stephen Minore Jr.

William Stephen Minore Jr. 26 of Rockford passed away Tuesday December 30, 2014 unexpectedly in his home. He was born December 29, 1988 in Rockford, the son of Dr. W. Stephen and Laura Minore. Attended Boylan High School, Keith Country Day School. He was enrolled at Rockford University, completing his BS in Biology. With breaking hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother, William Stephen (Stevie) Minore Jr. From the moment he was born, Stevie lived life with great exuberance and boundless enthusiasm. He was interested in science, traveling and seeing the marvels of the earth. He had a great appreciation for his sister’s creative ability, and he was looking forward to learning more about his grandmother’s Black Jack tips! But the thing he loved the most was hunting, especially alongside his dad, and knowing he had his mom’s unconditional love, always. Stevie was a life member of the Safari Club International, a life benefactor member of the NRA, a member of the Upland Hunt Club and a member of the Pine Tree Pistol Club.
Survivors include his parents, Dr. Stephen and Laura Minore, Sister, Mary Catherine, grandmother, Marion Wollum of Pompano Beach, FL, Grandfather, William Jerome Minore (Marian), Uncle John Minore, Aunt Lu Ann Minore, and wonderful extended family, cousins, Aunts and uncles as well as treasured friends.
Funeral Mass at 10am Monday January 5, 2015 in Holy Family Church. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 2pm until 7pm Sunday January 4, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Road with prayer service at 6:30. Visitation also from 9am until 9:45 Monday in the church.
