WLLIAM JOHN ROMONOUSKI,
LOVING, HUSBAND, NANU AND FRIEND ROCKFORD - William John Romonouski, passed away at Villa at P.A. Peterson December 2, 2014. William was born on September 10, 1930, in Spring ValleyIl. Son of William (Wink) and Lorraine(Seaback) Romonouski. William served our country in The Korean War from 1951-1953.His service Branch was TPN II OBN 51st Sig. Battalion APO-358, Rank was Corporal and left with Honors of Korean SVC Stars, United Nations Service Metal, and National Defense SVC Metal. Upon his return home, He worked at Barber Colman Co. Where he met and married his Loving Wife, Margaret Guarino of 58 years, July 23, 1955. William was then employed at Anderson Bros. Mfg. Co. for 37 years before retiring. William was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a member Of St. Mary’s Society. William loved working outdoors, he Enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved every animal, bug or insect that lived on this earth and knew everything about them !! He loved spending time with his family, especially sharing his love with his grandchildren.
Survivors include Son, John (Larissa) Romonouski and Daughter, Diane (Robert) Wawczak, grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Romonouski, Devin Hitch, Cory and Cameron Wawczak, Great grand-children, Holli and Gavin Hitch all of Rockford. Sister In law Betty (Reek) Romonouski. Predeceased by Wife Margaret (Guarino)Romonouski, brothers Robert and Joseph Romonouski, Sister in law Jackie (Morris) Romonouski. A special thanks to all of our family and friends whose abundant love, support and caring has been immeasurable.
Funeral Mass at 10am Friday December 5, 2014 in St Anthony of Padua Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Thursday December 4, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with rosary at 7pm. Visitation also from 9am until 9:45 Friday in the church.
