WILLIAM RICHARD BILL ZAREMBSKI, 80 ROCKFORD - William Richard Bill Zarembski, 80, died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. He was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Geneva. The son of William S. and Lillian Krocker Zarembski. He graduated from Geneva High School and attended Notre Dame and the University of Arizona. Bill was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara Perkins on Nov. 27, 1954, in St. Patricks Catholic Church in St. Charles. Formerly employed in the marketing department at Illinois Bell Telephone, retiring in 1981. Past member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and current member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Bill served as a volunteer in many local organizations including Junior Tackle Football, St. Elizabeth Center and St. Anthony Heart to Heart Program. Bill enjoyed his many friendships he made at OSF Sports Medicine Center. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara; children, Steve (LeAnn) Zarembski of Rockford, Kerry (James) Teske of Crete, and David (Jennifer) Zarembski of Oswego; grandchildren, Ryan, Valerie and Matthew Zarembski, Michael and Trace Teske, Alexandra, Samantha and Benjamin Zarembski and Caila Zarembski. Preceded by parents; sister, Constance Reilly; brother, (uncle) Edward Krocker. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Road, with the Rev. Monsignor Thomas E. Bales officiating. Burial in Marsh Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 Mulford Road, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church.
