William Mark Mosher

October 4, 1967 — November 13, 2024

Cherry Valley

William “Bill” Mark Mosher, 57, passed away after a brief illness on November 13, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1967, in Lyons, New York, son to Beverley and Janet (Harper) Mosher. On June 6, 1992, he married the love of his life, Dawn Ewing, in Scotia, New York. They moved to northern Illinois for Bill’s employment opportunities as his professional journey was notably remarkable; he remained proudly employed by Parker Hannifin, where he embarked on a career as a college intern and worked his way to Engineering Manager. His colleagues could describe him as a straight shooter—honest, candid, and supportive. At home, Bill was a devoted father and husband, his proudest accomplishments visible in the bright smiles and the joyful chatter of his children. He was a father-focused man who reveled in the small moments and grand events alike, attending musicals, choir concerts, and countless sporting events with enthusiasm and pride. A spontaneous spirit at heart, he found joy in adventures both big and small; weekends often unfolded with family outings to the zoo, exploring festivals, and brewery hopping. His love for the outdoors shone brightly as he embraced fishing, hiking and biking, nurturing a connection with nature that he gladly shared with his loved ones. The craftsmanship of woodworking was one of Bill's cherished hobbies, where his meticulous nature played out in the manner he lived by - always measure at least four times, cut once. This philosophy extended beyond his craft, reflecting his approach to life: thoughtful, deliberate, and always aiming to be helpful. He poured his heart into home repairs and renovations, transforming spaces with both skill and care. Bill was also a devoted NFL New York Giants fan, passionately following their seasons and celebrating their victories with enthusiasm.

He will be missed by those who loved him most; his wife of 32 years, Dawn; their children Emily (Maggie) Daly, Joshua Mosher, McKenna Mosher, and family dog, Gigi; lifelong friends Tim and Lisa, the family that he created at Parker Hannifin, the Screw City crew, and his euchre group. He is predeceased by his parents as well as brother, Ricky.
