William H. Bailey

William H. Bailey, 71 of Cherry Valley, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 in his home. Born May 18, 1941 in Parkin, Ark., attended high school there and then entered into the US Air Force. Was owner and operator of Bailey Services for 24 years, retiring in 2007. Bill was always excited to go hunting or fishing with his sons and loved to go boating with the family. He was a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold, he will be missed dearly by all. Survivors include his wonderful companion of 28 years, Shirley Gorbet; children, Pamela (Don) King,Wm. Dwayne (Christine) and Kenneth Bailey; grandchildren, Michelle, Natalie, Donley, Veronica, Nathan, Kayla and Ryan; great grandchildren, Haley, Bryce, Aiden and Gabe; step son, John Gorbet,brothers, Robert, J.W., Sherman, Henry and Paul and the mother of his children, Kay Parisella. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia, Glen, Roy and 2 infant sisters. Memorial service Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:45 p.m. at St. Bridget Parish Center, 704 Clifford Ave, Loves Park with Rev. Don King officiating. Visitation from 11:30 until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
