William G. Campbell, 84, of Rockford, died at 8:30 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2007 in P.A. Peterson Center for Health. nbsp;Born October 1, 1922 in Freeport, IL, the son of Gregory and Eunice (Kendall) Campbell.nbsp; He married Beatrice Heinemann in Teaneck, NJ, on March 4, 1950.nbsp; Formerly employed as a director with Ingersoll Engineering Company, and previously with Barber Coleman for over 30 years as a machine tool designer. William is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beatrice;nbsp; daughter, Brenna Campbell of Kennesaw, GA;nbsp; son, Alan (Jeanne) Campbell of Mission Viejo, CA;nbsp; granddaughters, Katelyn and Sara Campbell;nbsp; and brother, Patrick (Marne) Campbell of Rockton, IL.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents.nbsp; A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
