William Dinges

William G. Dinges of Rockford passed away Monday September 30, 2013 in the Atrium. He was born August 9, 1929 in Sublette, IL, the son of Lester and Christine Dinges. Graduated from Amboy High School. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Susan Atkinson on December 13, 1952. William worked for R Cooper Jr, Blackhawk Pontiac, Motorwerks, Lombardi Club, Verdi Club and Rockford Burr-All. He loved Notre Dame, the Brewers, Bears and Nascar. William was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Lifelong member of the Verdi and Lombardi Club and was a member of the Venetian Club.
He is survived by his children, Martin (Monica Simionescu) Dinges of Rockford, Steven Dinges of Lancaster, S.C., Barb (Michael) Rinaldo of Belvidere, Ned McCabe of Portsmouth, Va., and Bryan Baldwin of Pewaukee, Wis.; grandchildren, Kelly (Dan) Marden of Greenfield, Ind., Kristi Ferguson of Beach Grove, Ind., Nathan (Kristen) Dinges of Indianapolis, Susan Dinges of Pineville, N.C., Kristen Rinaldo of Belvidere, Brooke (Daniel) Bellehumeur of Milwaukee and AJ Baldwin of Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Jaydon, Abby, Emma, Molly and Ellie. Siblings; Eileen Glascow of Rockford, Rose (Raymond) Smith of Rockton, Charles (Judy) "Bud" Dinges of Warren, OH and Mary Ann Dinges of Rockford. Numerous nieces and nephews.
