William A. "Bud" Schroeder

William A. “Bud” Schroeder, 76, of Rockford passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, in his home. Born August 19, 1940, in Ashland, Wisconsin, the son of William and Dorothea (Foley) Schroeder. Bud was a veteran serving in the United States Navy as a radioman from 1959 - 1963. Bud married Patricia Bell on July 18, 1964 at St. Agnes Church in Ashland, Wisconsin. He worked as a hydraulic service technician and designer at Greenlee Brothers, Grimstad and retired from Amerock. Bud was very involved in the Boy Scouts, serving as a Scoutmaster at St. Bernadette’s for 8 years, a Winnebago District Commissioner for 10 years and was an Order of the Arrow Vigil Member. He received the Wood Badge, District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award for the Winnebago District.
Survived by his wife, Pat; son, William (Heide) Schroeder; daughter, Kim Fiduccia; grandchildren, Kira, Lauren, William, Zachary, Emily, Christopher and Nathan; and special friends, Bill Fiduccia and John and Maryann Goral. Predeceased by his parents.
