Willard Duvall

Willard E. Bill Duvall, 87, of Rockford passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Wesley Willows.nbsp; Born on January 19, 1925 in Atwater, Ohio, the son of Charles Duvall and Eva Mae (Douthitt) Duvall. Bill married Elva Casanave on May 10, 1947 at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago.nbsp; Elva and Bill loved to travel the world and enjoyed numerous cultural activities.nbsp; They met at a USO mixer dance and danced their way through life for over 62 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.nbsp; Bill worked for Sears Roebuck amp; Co. as a buyer for numerous product lines and retired after 38 years.nbsp; He was a member of the Wesley Willows choir, the AgeQuake Theatre group, he served as a docent at Chicagos Field Museum for 20 years and taught English as a second language for 25 years.nbsp; Bill was active in various community theatres and shared his love of music, theatre and the arts with his family.nbsp;

He is lovingly survived by his sons, Craig (Patricia) of Pleasant Prairie, WI and James (Shaun) of Alma, WI; daughters, Jeannine (Jim Peless) Duvall of Collinsville, TX and Deanna (Mike) Doty of Belvidere; grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Duvall of Loves Park, Matthew (Tara Taylor) Odorowski of Rockford, Devin Odorowski and Mitch Doty of Belvidere, Mary (Terry Tipton) Duvall of St. Paul, MN, Marty Duvall of Boca Raton, FL and Rose Duvall of Milwaukee, WI; greatgrandchildren, Ashton and Brayden Duvall; brother, Robert (Pat) Garrison of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Janet Murray of St. Louis, MO; and nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, Eva and Charles, wife, Elva and granddaughter, Colleen Rose Duvall.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.nbsp; Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.nbsp; Interment in St. Marys/ St. James Cemetery.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bills name to AgeQuake Theatre, 3519 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, 61107.nbsp;
