Wesley Lukaszyk, 74, Cherry Valley, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1945, the son of Polish parents, Platon and Eudokia Lukaszyk, while they were living in a German labor camp. Wesley married Janina Dlugopolski in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on May 12, 1973. He worked as a machinist at Pacific Scientific for 25 years. Wesley was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Survived by his loving wife, Janina; his sons, Robert (Kathleen) of Machesney Park and George (Melissa) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Michael, Felicity, Jase, Courtney, and Yvette; his nephews, Steve and Michael. Predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Mary, his brother, Steve, and his nephew, Walter.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St, Rockford. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Saturday. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
