Wendy Schumacher Folven, 61, of Byron, IL passed away at home on Tuesday, April 20.
Wendy, daughter of Colonel James and Marlene (Seideman) Schumacher, married Marc D. Folven on June 13, 1981 in Falls Church, VA. Wendy was an exceptional gymnast, coach, and judge while the family lived in Texas. After moving to Byron, Wendy was her daughters’ biggest fan, attending band concerts, Caroline’s basketball tournaments, and Whitney’s softball games. Wendy loved being outside and spent hours beautifying her many gardens. Most of all, Wendy cherished her time spent with family, whether it was attending craft fairs, eating delicious dinners, or just spending time with her girls. Most importantly, Baby Lottie loved her Grandma Pinky. She is already dearly missed.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Marc Folven; daughters, Whitney Folven and Caroline (Alex) Roverud; beloved granddaughter, Lottie Jayne Roverud; father, James Schumacher; sisters, Jodie (Gary) Schommer, Jamie (Stefan) Arredando, and Laury (Dan) Krause. Wendy is predeceased by her mother, Marlene Schumacher.
