Wayne Statler

Wayne Statler, 64, Oregon, died at 10:06 a.m.Monday, November 21, 2011 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born October 18, 1947 in Steele, MO, son of Jim Statler and Thelma Thayer Statler. Married Carol Schraiber on January 21, 1990 . He was an electrician and a proud member of IBEW Local No.196. Wayne was a highly skilled man in all of the building trades and could be counted on to build or fix most anything. He quietly helped many people and was a wonderful grandpa.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carol; children, Wayne (Michelle) Statler, Misti Erdman (Kelly Spears), Kristy Fair, Brenda (Craig) Greuel, Greg (Ginger) Beck and Daniel Beck; grandchildren, James, Kayla, Drew (Crystal), Amber, Michael, Hayden, Dre, Maddie, Hayley, Evan, Amber, Aidan, Jaden, Jacob and Xander; sisters, Gail and Glenda; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Eddie (Vicky) Ware. Predeceased by his parents.

A celebration of Wayneslife will be held from 14 p.m.on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the IBEW Local No.364, 6820 Mill Road in Rockford. Please come with a story to share about this wonderful manslife.
