Wayne R. Swanson

Wayne R. Swanson, 62,ROCKFORD - Wayne R. Swanson, 62, a lifelong resident of Rockford, died Friday, May 7, 2010 in his home. Born April 29, 1948, the son of Rudy E. and Hermina ""Hermie"" M. (Stratmann) Swanson. Graduated from Rockford West High School and University of Wisconsin Platteville. Worked for 20 years at Concrete Systems and was a member of the Laborers Local 32. He was also a member of the Baltic Lodge. Survivors include his brother, Bruce (Sandra) Swanson, and sister, Jana (David) Caulk, both of Rockford; nieces, Shannon (Chris) Figaro of New Jersey, Carey (Luke) Zawlocki of Chicago, Molly (Pete) Danielson of Oregon, Cassandra Caulk of Chicago and Maggie Caulk of Florida; great-niece, Sofia Figaro and Lola Zawlocki. Preceded in death by his grandparents; and parents. At the family's request, service will be private. Arrangements are pending at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel.
