Wayne Gano

Wayne Gano 72, Loving Husband, Father and Papa. of Rockford passed away Monday September 23, 2013 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born August 12, 1941 in Washington DC, the son of Clifton Wayne Gano Sr. and Frankie Lorene Counts. He married Rita Cascio Gargani in Rockford on September 1, 2002. Wayne graduated from Grinnell College and Drake University with Masters. Wayne worked for Sundstrand, Conagra and Envirovac. Member of the Lombardi Club.
Survivors include his wife Rita. Four Children, Ann (Pat) Girardi of Rockford, Wanda Ayers of Aurora, Tim Gano of Nebraska and Cliff (Holly) Gano of Nebraska. Grandchildren, Trent, Riley and Madalyn Miller, Michael and Rebecca Ayers, Rylee and Quinn Gano, Toby and Gillian Gano, Emily and Carley Brattland, Ben, Lucy and Charlie Gargani. Brother, John (Jan) Gano. Son-in-law, Rick Brattland. Stepsons, Christopher (Tona) Gargani of Washington DC and Gregory (Kristina) Gargani of Rockford. Grandchildren, Ben, Lucy and Charlie. Nephew, David (Becky) Gano. Numerous endearing Family and Friends. Predeceased by his parents and daughter, Susan Brattland.
