Rockford-Warren F. Harrington, Jr passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born September 19, 1943 in Rockford, the son of Warren & Jenny (Samuelson) Harrington. Served in the US Army during Vietnam. Married Dianne Hanley in California on September 5, 1970. Warren worked for GKN in Loves Park for 44 years. Member of GPS Faith Community Church and VFW Post 5149. He enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, watching drag racing, HSN and QVC, but most of all spending time with his family and his two dogs Dakota and Charlie.
Survivors include wife Dianne; son Alan Harrington; daughter Becky Harrington; grandchildren Cortazia, Cheyenne, and Chase; brothers James (Tammy) and Rory (Patti) Harrington; sister Sue Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, and good friend Jerry. Predeceased by parents, grandson Elijah; brother John Harrington.
Funeral service will 7 pm Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at GPS Faith Community Church, 10714 N 2nd St, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a visitation from 5 to 7 pm.
