Ward W. Miller, of Rockford, died on January 21, 2024, age 86. Beloved husband of the late Virginia, née Siberell, who predeceased him January 7, 2021. He was a long-time resident of Park Ridge and graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Purdue University. After serving on active duty in the United States Naval Reserve, including aboard the USS Midway, he was employed for 37 years by Hewitt-Robins, Inc. and its successors, retiring from Regal Beloit Corporation. He enjoyed regular fishing trips with friends throughout the United States and Canada, and adventurous travels with his beloved wife, Ginny. An avid philatelist and past officer of the Rockford Stamp Club, he meticulously curated Mint Never Hinged stamps from all over the world. Interment will take place in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
