Walter A. Toelski

Walter A. Toleski, 93Walter Anthony Toleski, 93, a resident of P.A. Peterson passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010, following a lengthy illness. Born in Rockford on November 25, 1916, the son of John and Ladislava Toleski. Walter was a WWII Navy Veteran and service abroad the Clearwater Victory in the Pacific theater. He was employed for 35 years by Gunite Foundries. Walter was an avid fisherman and gardener. Walter is survived by his son, Garey (Dottie) Toleski of Sanford, NC; daughter, Corrine (Russell) Ramsey of Frankston, TX; step sons, Robert (Dixie) McLaughlin and Dennis McLaughlin; special friend and care taker, Edna McLauglin; five grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; nieces, Audrey Anderson, Carol Roberts and a nephew Robert Rosander. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Maude, sisters, Genevieve Peterson and Sophie Rosander. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Following the burial, a memorial tribute will be held at 1:00 p.m. at P.A. Peterson , 1311 Parkview Ave. . In lieu of flowers memorials in his name to P.A. Peterson.
