Walburga Maria Francis

Walburga Maria “Wally” Francis, 88, Rockford, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, in Wesley Willows Health Center. She was born May 1, 1926, in Boxbrunn, Germany, the daughter of George and Maria (Link) Eibeck. She married Kenneth James Francis in Frankfurt, Germany on June 11, 1954. He passed away on December 7, 1997. She worked at Barber Colman Company for many years retiring in 1970. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Survived by her sister, Hildegard Schaefer and her sister-in-law, Hilde Eibeck, both of Frankfort, Germany; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, her brother, Oskar Eibeck; her sister, Elizabeth Fick; and her aunt, Nanette Francis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 N. Rockton Av, Rockford, IL 61103, with Reverend Douglas Williams officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Cobb, Wisconsin. Visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M., Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
