Vivian A. Nanni

Vivian A Nanni- March 14, 1931 to Aug. 30, 2018. Growing up in Chicago and moving to Rockford to attend nursing school, Vivian wore many hats in her 87 years; firefighter's wife, mother of four, bank auditor, CPA, editor for the Rockford Woman's Club newspaper, holiday hostess, furniture enthusiast, dessert connoisseur, coffee lover, avid reader, saver of all things, and good Swede, only ever putting lingonberries on her pancakes. Family asks that you enjoy a slice of vanilla pecan pie at Stockholm Inn on Pi Day (3.14) in her memory.
Survivors include her children, Linda Portelli of Madison, WI, David (Anne) Nanni of Spokane, WA, Laura Nanni and Steve Nanni of Rockford; grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Unbehaun, Andria Nanni, Alex (Emily) Nanni; great-grandchildren, Clara, Alice and Mabel Unbehaun. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Nanni; parents, Russell and Virginia Horton; brother, Russel Horton.
Services will be 12 pm Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation from 11:30 until time of service.
