Vito Addotta

Vito Addotta, 72, of Rockford, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 in his home. Born June 4, 1938 in Rockford, the son of Peter and Eleanor Saladino Addotta. He married Carol Niesman on April 29, 1979. Vito worked for Fran Kral, Keller Williams and Century 21 selling commercial real estate. He also owned Rock River Bobcat. Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Holy Name Society.
Survived by his wife, Carol Ann; children, Brian (Linda) of Osage Beach, MO, Peter (Doreen) of Winnebago, John of Rockford, Jeff (Amy) of Rockford, Paul (Leigh) of Rockford, and Candi (Duane) Zaugg of Beloit; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances (Tony) DePasqua and Rose (Frank) Palermo of Rockford; father-in-law, Roger Niesman of Loves Park, and brother-in-law, Roger (Kathy) Niesman of Rockford.
Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at St. Anthony Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Burial in Willwood Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
