Vita Campisi Ingrassia 101
Rockford -Vita Ingrassia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, died at age 101 on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The daughter of Anthony and Catherine Ciaccio Campisi, born August 13, 1913, she married Paul J. Ingrassia, September 3, 1934 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Roberta), Sarasota, Fl., David (Pam) Bonita Springs, FL. and Tom (Mary) Bonita Springs and Avon, IL.; son-in-law Frank Barraco, Rockford; three grandchildren Catherine Ingrassia (Miles McCrimmon), Richmond, Va.; Jacqueline Hess (Michael), Switzerland; and Andrea Petray, (Craig)Chicago; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Vita and Paul McCrimmon, Hailey and Amelie Hess; nieces Kay Wiedholz (Tom) and Catherine Campisi (Ralph Black); sister-in-law, Frances Ingrassia (Frank); Nieces: Marge Ingrassia, (Camille Kiegel, Camilla McGuire, Therese Ingrassia, Mary Jo Pritz(John). Nephews: Theodore Ingrassia, Jr.,(Theresa) Salavator Ingrassia, Vincent Ingrassia,(Merrilee), Ronald Ingrassia, (Patti),Leonard Ingrassia, and Anthony Domino,(Jean) as well as many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul J. Ingrassia, her daughter, Annette Barraco, sister Lillian Eager, brother Paul Campisi, and nephew Robert Eager.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staffs of Siena on Brendenwood and Wesley Willows for the quality care of her life.
A 73 year member of St. James Church, her funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. James Church with Rev. David E. Beauvais officiating. Visitation from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Private family burial at Calvary Cemetery.
