Virginia M. Gerry, 93, went home to Jesus on January 10, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Walter and Euphemia (Moraczewski) Ingram on May 6, 1928 in Chicago, IL.
Virginia was a 1946 graduate of Carl Schurz High School in Chicago, IL. She was a loving and devoted stay at home mother. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" J. Gerry on March 29, 1981, blending their families together. Virginia loved listening to music, especially the crooners of her era and religious songs, as well as watching musicals. She loved the beauty of flowers, her favorite being lilacs. Her love for her favorite color was clear to anyone who knew her: from her wardrobe to the many things in her home, everything was blue. In her later years, Virginia enjoyed crossword puzzles which kept her sharp as a tack and spending time with friends chatting over breakfast or lunch. More than anything she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Virginia's memory will occupy a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children; Barbara Barcklay, Nancy Rempert, Dolores (Michael) Mogan, Tom Barcklay, Donna Wrublewski, John Barcklay; step-children; James (Kay) Gerry, Derek Gerry, John (MaryAnn) Gerry and Jeanne (Jim) Robison; grandchildren; Jessica (Chong) Smart, Mary Shaw, Dave (Megan) Berna, Jeff Monaco, Nicole (Jayson) Alberts, Matt (Kirsten) Mogan, Joshua Barcklay, Jeremy (Joy) Rempert, Ryan (Deidra) Mogan, Justine (Johnny) Lunzer, Jake Mogan, Zach (Taylor) Wrublewski, Chris (Izzy) Wrublewski, Stephanie (Tanner) Hintzman, Cody Barcklay, Danielle Barcklay, and Payton Barcklay; step-grandchildren, Robin, Ryan, Linda, Jake and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Triston, Brennon, Kyle, Karly, Luke, Connor, Camrin, Isaiah, Trey, Brandon, Cambria, Addison, Evan, Brayden, Kensington, Skylie, Maliyah, Maverick, Elodie, Ophelia, Evangeline, Natalie, Michael, Addison, Aria, Maverick, and Wilder; step-great-grandchildren, Clara and Eli; brother Richard Ingram; sister-in-law, Patricia Ingram; special niece Linda (Rick) Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.
