Virginia Helen Tyler

Virginia Helen Tyler, 74, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 15, 1944, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles Chester and Della Marvelle (Morris) Jones. She worked as the office manager in the office of Dr. Soriano for many years, retiring in 2010. Virginia enjoyed embroidering and hosted many holiday parties. She loved cooking for family gatherings and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by her children, William “Bill” (Bobbie) Nolan of Winnebago, Michele Mahnke of Elkin, NC, Kevin (Lisa Bock) Nolan of Rockford, and Tracey (Paul Mathes) Mathes of Rockford; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and her special friends, Kim Wenger and Betty Parks. Predeceased by her parents, her grandson, Barry Nolan, her special cousin, Harold Morris, and her beloved dog, Duke.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Burial in New Milford Cemetery.
