VIOLET T. URBANSKI, 77, Rockford, died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in Swedish American Hospital following a short illness. Born October 6, 1929 in West Allis, WI, daughter of Joseph and Helen Bialecki Hoffmann. Lived the past 51 years in Rockford, coming here from Beloit, WI. Married B. H. Urbanski in Beloit on September 1, 1956. Harry worked for Master Sheet Metal Local 219 for 30 years. Vi lived her childhood years in Argyle, WI and attended high school in Argyle, graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, and from Beloit College with a double major and a double minor. During college she worked at the Beloit Telephone Company for 4 years and after graduation took a teaching job in Braidwood, IL. That was followed by enjoyable employment at the Rockford Register Star. Once married, she enjoyed family life. Member of Cathedral of St. Peter where she was a member of the choir and held various volunteer positions at the church. She was a member of the St. Anne Society, Mendelssohn Club and the Beloit College Alumni. Vi had numerous interests including reading, sewing and quilting, opera and theater, watching Jeopardy and geneology. She greatly appreciated family and friendship. Everyone that knew her loved her, and her thoughtfulness. We in turn were awed by her encyclopedic knowledge and zest for life. Survivors include her husband, (Boleslaw) Harry Urbanski; daughter, Connie (Joe) Mangiardi, Roscoe; sons, Rick (Margo) Urbanski, Ft. Worth, Texas and Marty Urbanski, Rockford; grandchildren: Caroline Mangiardi and Michael and Nicholas Urbanki; brothers, Richard (Char) Hoffmann, Poplar Grove and Don (Jean) Hoffmann, Bakersfield, CA; sisters, Helen McCallum, Rockford and Shirley Robotka, Beloit, WI. and many nieces, nephews (""All Good Eggs"" ) and cousins. Also survived by her special neighbors, Mary Mohr and June and Jereve Miller. Predeceased by her parents, brother-in-law, Donald McCallum and aunts and uncles. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007 in the Cathedral of St. Peter with Rev. Kevin Butler officiating. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at the church on Friday. To
