Victor Junior Hutcheson (Joe),71, of Winnebago, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer, on Monday May 20, 2024. He was born May 12, 1953 in Rockford, IL to Victor and Ostella Irene (Colcasure) Hutcheson. He retired from Valspar Corporation after 42 years of service.

He met his wife, Cynthia R. Jamison through the love of horses and trail riding. They were married on November 4, 1972 and spent 51 years together enjoying the outdoors, traveling, camping, riding, walking, taking drives and watching movies which included all the John Wayne movies.

Joe enjoyed fixing things, working on his tractors, taking care of his horses, and also welding which he created some wonderful artwork that is displayed in their home today. In retirement Joe enjoyed finding new areas to take walks with his wife Cindy and then stopped at McDonald’s for his coffee or tea and talk with some other retirees. They so enjoyed taking drives looking at other properties in Illinois and many of those drives took them to the rodeo, where he so enjoyed watching his great niece and nephew ride.

Amongst some of their travels together, they visited Germany, enjoyed cruises to the Virgin Islands, The Keys and South America

With the love of horses and trail riding Joe had the opportunity to ride in South Dakota where they rode up to Mt. Rushmore. He also camped and rode the trails of Missouri.  One of Joe’s favorite places was Jackson Falls in Shawnee National Forest. Through his 71 years of life Joe rode most of the parks in Illinois and he has now taken his final ride.  Our hats are off to you, cowboy.
