Victor Anthony Zysk, Jr.

Victor Anthony Zysk, Jr, 81, Rockford, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, in his home following a 4 year battle with lung cancer. He was born June 25, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the son of Victor Anthony and Anna (Kochian) Zysk, Sr. Victor was a Navy veteran serving from 1956 to 1960. He married Gloria Hollo on October 4, 1969. He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Wyandotte, MI from 1955 until 1984, and after moving to Rockford worked as a plant superintendent for Atwood Industries from 1984 until 1994, and most recently for Abbott Plastics from 1994 to 1999. Victor was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion Post #131 in Belvidere.
Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria; his daughter, Nicole A. (Michael) Zysk Bradford; his grandchildren, Maddux Victor and Quinten Troy Bradford; his sisters, Bernardine (Edward) Hebda and Mary Ann (Benjamin) Lesko. Victor’s family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and the SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center especially Drs. Einhorn and Bopanna for their kind and compassinate care.
