VICKY L. HENNELLY,nbsp;age 49, a lifetime resident of Rockford, died on May 18, 2007, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.nbsp; Vicky was born September 9, 1957 in Swedish American Hospital.nbsp; She was a 1975 graduate of East High School.nbsp; One of her first jobs was working with adults with special needs.nbsp; She then decided to go back to school and get her Bachelors Degree from NIU followed by her Masters from Aurora University.nbsp; Vicky worked in several Rockford schools before taking a job at Fairview Elementary as a teacher of Early Education/Special Education.nbsp; She was loved and admired by her peers and friends.nbsp; Her wit and professionalism will truly be missed.nbsp; Vickys first teaching job was for her three wonderful and loving children, Jake, Jenna and Taylor.nbsp; She taught them the importance of hard work, responsibility, a good education and a healthy respect for our planet.nbsp; She and her children enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, kayaking, hiking and camping, but mostly enjoying life.nbsp; Her dog Asta will miss the walks with Vicky, but her children and her dog are all better in this world for having known Vicky and her values. nbsp; Vicky is predeceased by a niece, Valerie Anne Dailey, grandparents, Herman and Hazel Fagerberg, Dorothy Reynolds and her father Eldon Fagerberg.nbsp; Thankfully, Gramma Hazel and her parents taught her the most important thing and that is her faith in Jesus and she is now walking the streets of gold and suffering no more. nbsp; Those she has temporarily left behind are her son, Jacob Michael Hennelly, 24, daughter, Jenna Elizabeth Hennelly, 20 and son, Taylor John Hennelly, 17, all of Rockford; mother Donna Fagerberg, N. Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Julie Dailey, Siren, WI; brother, Bryan Fagerberg, N. Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Lori (Rick) Dalziel, Cape Coral, FL; nephews, Josh and Jordan Dailey, Brett, Alec, Connor Dalziel,; nieces, Gabrielle Dailey, Kaley and Hannah Dalziel.nbsp; Also survived by her aunts, uncles, many cousins, ex-husband, the kids dad and friend, Mike Hennelly and her special friend that walked this final journey with her Gary Schlehuber. nbsp; A memorial service will honor her on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Second Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Michael Solberg officiating. Anbsp; memorial visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
