Vicki Lynn Adams

.Vicki Lynn Adams, 70, of Rockford, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 in her home with family at her side. Born Sept. 28, 1945 in Morrison the daughter of Burton and Louise (Nichols) Drury. Moved to Rockford in 1979 from Clinton, Iowa and married her loving husband Gerald G. Adams on Sept. 10, 1983 in Garden Plain, IL. Worked for Commonwealth Edison for 16 years retiring in 1995. Vicki enjoyed bowling, flower gardening and traveling but especially loved her stained glass and quilting projects. She was a kind and caring person who had a warm heart, she will be missed dearly by her many friends, her family and her best friend, Foxy. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to OSF Hospice and a very special thank you to her dedicated care givers, Gloria and Tammy.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Drury of Morrison; brothers, Bill (Maria) Drury of Fountain Hills, AZ, Craig (Marla) Drury of Fulton, IL and Dick Drury of Spokane, WA; sisters, Karen (John) Massetti of Rockford and Lori (Francis) Schobert of Barneveld, WI; sister-in-law, Cherie (John) Haselgruber; brother-in-law, John (Carol) Adams; step-daughter, Rebecca Adams; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friends, Sharon Benjamin and Stan (Trish) Lidell and special cousin, Mary Weigandt. Preceded in death by her father; husband; nephews, Dale and Paul and her k9 companions, Yodi and Charlie.
Funeral service Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
