Vanda B. Goral, 95, of Rockford passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at PA Peterson Center for Health. Born April 25, 1918, in Rockford, the daughter of Joseph and Aniela (Sermak) Kuczynski. She married Matthew Goral on September 14, 1940 in Rockford; he predeceased her on September 26, 1986. She worked at Amerock Corp for over 20 years. Vanda was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the Ladies of St. Bernadette and a past member of the Women's League of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She was devoted to her faith and dedicated to her family. Vanda loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a great baker. She was also a long standing member of the TOPS Club. The Goral family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at PA Peterson Center for Health and to Northern Illinois Hospice for the kindness they bestowed to Vanda and her family.
Survived by her children, Ed (Sue) Goral, Jim (Anna) Goral, Kathie (Jerry) D'Agostin, Mickey (Tami) Goral and Debbie (Ed) Nunez; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her brothers, Ed, Joe and Karl and sister, Olga.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the church.
