Valia M. “Mickey” Bleile, 88, of Rockford, passed away May 31, 2022 at Alden Debes Rehabilitation Center, Born June 22, 1933 in Rockford, the daughter of John and Antonia (Borgetti) Pro. She married Lyle Bleile in Rockford, on January 12, 1957. Together they had two sons Richard Bleile and David Bleile. Mickey was a homemaker and briefly worked at Nelson Knitting Co. and Amerock Corp. She also did some waitressing jobs later after marriage. Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Her favorite pastime was going to the casinos, which she enjoyed immensely, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include husband, Lyle Bleile; sons, Richard Bleile and David (Nancy) Bleile; grandchildren, Lisle Bleile (Jeremy) Grant and Julia Bleile; great-grandchildren, Abel and Olen Grant; sister, Edna Pro Williams, brother-in-law, Floyd Liberatori and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Aldo Pro, Angelo Pro, Emil Pro, Robert Pro, Tony Pro; sisters, Dalia Pro Giordano, Gina Pro Gulotta, Helen Pro Buscemi, Rita Pro Liberatori and daughter-in-law Christi Bleile.
Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Private burial at a later date.
