Tom D. Taylor

Tom D. Taylor, 89, of Winnebago passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 in his home. Born October 11, 1926, in Rockford, the son of Frank and Mildred (Thorne) Taylor. Graduate of Winnebago High School. Served 2 years as a Merchant Marine. Member of Winnebago Evangelical Church. Owned and operated Tom D. Taylor Repair in Winnebago for many years. Enjoyed his morning McDonald friends and poker buddies.

Survived by his daughter-in-law, Darla Taylor; granddaughters, Teresa (Jason) Ackerman and Tara (Dan) Giese; great-grandchildren, Ryan Ackerman and Madilyn and Cashton Giese; former spouse, Delores Taylor; sister-in-law, Betty Schad; niece, Paula Schad; special friends, David and Ross. Tom is preceded in death by his son, Chris Taylor, grandson, Troy Taylor, sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Harry Page.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Winnebago Evangelical Church with Pastor Dennis Buss officiating. Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
