Beloit, WI- Timothy Patrick Nolan, 54 died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Beloit Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born April 18, 1954 in Hammond, IN son of Jerome F. and Aileen (Dent) Nolan. Married his loving wife Laurie Park on Nov. 20, 1985. Tim worked for the Beloit Police Dept. for several years and retired on April 18, 2004. After retirement he perused his true passion as an artist working on several oil paintings. He joked with his family and called himself a ""Starving Artist"". His Irish heritage was a huge part of his life and St. Patrick""s Day was never overlooked. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and the outdoors and would often capture those natural scenes in his paintings. Tim was a wonderful caregiver to his family, especially to his father and his granddaughter whom he cared for almost everyday. He was especially proud of being an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Chicago Bears fan and the family asks his friends and family to honor him by wearing his team""s shirt, hat or colors for his visitation. Survivors include his wife Laurie of Beloit; children, Shawn P. (Sara) of Beloit, Kelly A. Eggert of Peoria, Tara L. and Morgen E. Nolan both of Beloit; grandchildren; Catelyn, Conner, Raegan and Ryan; his Father; brothers, Terry (Paulette) of Machesney Park and Jerry (Cindy) of Utah; sisters, Kathy (David) Mastrangeli and Colleen (Mike) Wells both of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend Bob ""Moose"" Nelson of Rockford. He was preceded in death by his mother and his infant son, Ryan. Funeral service and burial Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 1-3 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave.
