Timothy J. O'Leary

Timothy John O’Leary, a long-time resident of Rockford, IL, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2021 at the age of 86.

Timothy was born in Chicago on February 2, 1935 to Timothy and Bridie O’Leary. He attended Loyola University and worked as an Accountant for Commonwealth Edison for 35 years. He was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed 61 beautiful years of marriage, 29 years of retirement, traveling, golfing, and maintaining close relationships with his friends. His family and faith were important parts of his life.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Esposito) O’Leary; his sister, Sheila (Ken) Behrens; his children, Sandy (Rick) Prohammer, Timothy (Debbie) O’Leary, Karen (Greg) Cilano and Jennifer (Joe) Clouser; his grandchildren, Joe O’Leary, Allison (Noah) Ura, Caitlin (William) Elliott, Maddie O’Leary, Daniel Prohammer, Melissa Prohammer, Erin Prohammer, Jake Clouser, Ryan Cilano, Jessica Clouser and Matthew Cilano; his great grandchildren, Johanna O’Leary, Tucker O’Leary, Eli Ura, Asher Ura, William Elliott, and many cousins nieces and nephews.

A walk through visitation will be held Friday, April 30 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
