Thorsten R. Bob Sword, 69, Rockford, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Provena Cor Mariae Center.
Born December 6, 1941 in Rockford, son of Thorsten and Astrid (Franzene) Sword.
Married Eleanor M. Hageman in Detroit, MI on September 4, 1965.
Served in Japan with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Hartzog Aviation for 19 years, retiring in 1988. nbsp;Long time member of the Baltic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; daughters, Annette (Patrick) Peterson and Lisa Sword; granddaughter, Claire Peterson.
Predeceased by his parents.

Private services will be held.
