Thomas William Bell

Thomas “Tom” William Bell, 79, of Machesney Park, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at SwedishAmerican Heart Hospital. Born February 4, 1938 in Rockford the son of William Brian and Eva C. (Shelton) Bell. Graduated from West High School and married his loving wife, Georgianne G. Hippman on June 7, 1997. Tom worked as an engineering electrician for Liebovich, retiring in 2003 taking time to enjoy family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at SwedishAmerican Heart Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Georgianne; children, Jennifer Bell, John (Sue) Hippman and Howard (Lori) Hippman; grandchildren, Matthew, Olivia, Kayla and Tiffany; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Nelson and Dorothy Stank; sister-in-law, Diane Hippman, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Gene Sundeen. Preceded in death by his sister, Betty Thompson; brothers-in-law, Dick Stank, Burt Nelson, Glen Thompson and Howard Hippman. Memorial service Friday, July 28, 2017 at Noon at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
