Thomas W. Meyer

Thomas W. Meyer Jr., 66 of Rockford, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born March 10, 1942 in Rockford, son of Thomas W. and Behrle (Manning) Meyer, Sr. Tom was an avid bicyclist belonging to Blackhawk Bicycle and Ski Club, attended First Evangelical Free Church, and was a talented artist. Tom enjoyed his work as Advertising Manager for Warner Electric, where he worked for over 15 years. He also treasured his grandchildren, who enjoyed his love and laughter. Survivors include his children, Troy (Kay) Meyer of Janesville, WI, Gwynne (Jim) Chandler of Boise, Idaho and Teresa ""T.J."" (Todd) Bartolomucci of Springfield; grandchildren, Jonathan, MacKenzie, Katie, Bethany, Sam, Emily, Kirsten and Josh; brother, Richard ""Rick"" (Wendy) Meyer of Rockford; sister's, Judy (Mern) Clark of Pecatonica, Peggy Cramp of Rockford and Patricia ""Pat"" (Greg) Lupa of Genoa. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Funeral service Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Free Church, 2223 N. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Chuck Rife officiating. Interment in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Visitation, Friday, May 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
