Thomas J. Frederick

Thomas John Frederick, 59, of Machesney Park, IL passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022. Tom was born August 27, 1962 in Ironwood, MI the son to Christine (Rigoni) and Joseph Frederick. He and his family moved to Rockford, IL in 1963. Tom attended Auburn High School and graduated in 1980. He worked as a proud union plumber for the Local 23. He was a wonderful father and brought his children up well and taught them respect and morals. Tom enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and yardwork, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing poker and other card games. Most of all, Tom loved spending time with his family of whom he was very proud of.

Tom is survived by his sons, Michael (Kathryn) Frederick and Ben Frederick; granddaughter, Audrey Rose Frederick; parents, Christine and Joseph Fredrick; sister, Jeanean (Gregory) Johnson; nephew, Andrew (Ashlee) Johnson; niece, Elinor Johnson. Predeceased by his brother, Michael Frederick.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest in Owen Center Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined.
