Theresa Rose Decori

Theresa Rose DeCori, 87, of Rockford, died after a short illness on Sunday, May 13, 2007 in Provena St. Anne Center surrounded by her family.nbsp; Born October 8, 1919 in Rockford, daughter of Domenica and Antonio Borgetti.nbsp; Married Dominic DeCori on November 24, 1940 and celebrated 59 years of marriage; he died in 2000.nbsp; She was an exceptional seamstress, and a wonderful cook but her talents didnt stop there.nbsp; She was the pillar of the family and was respected by all as she exhibited knowledge and wisdom far beyond her formal education.nbsp; At 80 years of age she became interested in the computer and soon was writing e-mail, traveling the internet, and mastering word games.nbsp; She was also a very devout person who held all those in need in her prayers.nbsp; Her family was her life.nbsp; She was an amazing woman who will be missed for her wisdom, her sense of humor, and her love of life. Survived by: son, Robert DeCori of San Jose, CA; daughters Rosemary (Dennis) Heffner, and Donna (James) Farone of Rockford; 12 grandchildren; Robert II, Gregory, Patrick, Amy, and Bradley DeCori; Denise (Robert) Kinsey; Richard (Joanna) Heffner; David (Krista) Heffner; Kimberly (Michael) Scott; James (Jennifer) Farone II; Stacy (Stephen) Hirsch; and Jennifer Farone; 12 great-grandchildren; Christian and Catalina Kinsey; Jacob, Ericka, and Bridget Heffner; David and Mary Heffner; Nicole, Katelyn, and Daniel Scott, Corey and Brianna Hirsch; her loving brother Emil and his wife (Lillian) Borgetti; sister-in-laws Josephine Navarra, Mary White, Kay Nuciforo; and brother-in-law John DeCori (friend Ida numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. nbsp;The family also extends a special thanks to her physician Dr. Willard Moore, the wonderful and caring staff at Provena St. Anne Center, and her friends and care-givers, Maria Hammel and Debbie Bartelli.nbsp; Predeceased by husband; parents; brothers Friar Francis Richard Borgetti and Emilio; sister Rose; and granddaughter, Lisa Farone. Funeral Mass Friday, May 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Catholic Church.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, May 17 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd with a rosary service at 7 p.m..
