Terry Lynn Leerhoff, age 64, passed away at his home on December 5, 2021 with his Milestone family and Hospice by his side. He was born in Rockford, Illinois to Merlin and Edna (Bassett) Leerhoff, who both predeceased him. Terry was quite the Renaissance Man, participating in Special Olympics, Scouts, and the Milestone Dancers. He was an Honorary Sherriff’s Deputy, and assisted officers in directing traffic during the Special Olympic Torch Runs. He also loved Cowboys, Elvis and was a great boyfriend to his special gal. He worked at Milestone Industries for the last 29 years. He will be missed by his Milestone Family of 42 years, his Guardian, Thema, his Nieces, Grace and Angela and Great Niece, Ineta Leerhoff. Funeral Service will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108 on Monday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
