Terrence "Terry" R. Pearse

Terrence R. “Terry” Pearse passed away January 2, 2023, surrounded by family.

He was born in St. Joseph, MI on December 14, 1960, to Roy J. and Barbara (Jiracek) Pearse. The family moved to Rockford in 1967. Terry graduated from Boylan High School in 1979, received a certificate in Auto Mechanics, an associate degree from Rock Valley College, and in 1990 a B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. He marched with the Phantom Regiment Cadets in 1975 and the Phantom Regiment from 1976 to 1982. Terry was one of the driving forces behind the first alumni performance with the Regiment and performed in all of them, which he was very proud of. He often said, “Phantom was the best days of his youth.” He married Donna Allen on December 1, 1996. Currently, Terry combined his love of cars and dealing with people working as a manager for Advance Auto Parts. In 2021 he was named General Manager of the Year. Terry was very passionate about four things in life: work, the Green Bay Packers, the Phantom Regiment, and his pets.

Terry is survived by his wife Donna, mother Barbara, brothers Tim (Martha), Patrick (Patricia), and Ryan (Megan), Uncle Jim and Aunt Avril Jiracek, Aunt Pat Pearse, several nieces and nephews, Goddaughters Liz Zook and Lindsi Pearse, several cousins, friends, and his Phantom Regiment family. He is predeceased by his father Roy and his grandparents.

Visitation will be Saturday January 14th, 2023, from 9:00 -11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with a luncheon to follow at the church. Please feel free to wear either Phantom Regiment, Packers gear colors, or dress as you are comfortable with.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donna Pearse.
