Terrance D. Freeman, Sr.

Terrance D. Freeman, Sr., 37, Rockford, died Sunday, November 22, 2009. He was born June 8, 1972 in Chicago, the son of Michael Dixon and Linda Freeman. Terrance married Lawanda Bankhead in Hillside on July 22, 2006. He was a Rockford Firefighter since February 23, 2005. Thru his career Terrance was stationed with Ladder Co. No.2, Engine Co. No.4, Ladder Co. No.1, Engine Co No.1, and currently earning his Paramedic rating at Engine Co. No.3.

Survived by his wife, Lawanda; children, Terrance Freeman, Jr., Rondrell ,Trevon, and Torrence Freeman, Ladarious and Samuel Bankhead; parents, Michael Dixon and Linda Freeman, Chicago; sister and brother-in-law, Arzetta (Tito) Harris, Rockford; mother-in-law and father-in-law, LeRoy and Ora Bankhead, Westmont, paternal grandmother, Minnie Dixon; maternal grandmother, Toilee Freeman; aunt, Sheila (LeRoy) Freeman; sister-in-law, Michelle Bankhead; brothers-in-law, Andre (Irma) Bankhead and Cory Bankhead.

Funeral services will be 4pm Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108, with Firefighters Honors. Private family burial at a later date. Visitation from 2pm until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
