Teresa G. Ealey

Teresa G. Ealey, 48, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1972, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Norm and Mary (Humphrey) Ealey. Teresa graduated from Jefferson High School in 1990 and went on to get her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration at Rockford University in 1995. Teresa worked as a Manager at Beef-A-Roo for over 25 years but started as a cashier when she was 16. She loved her job and especially enjoyed training teenagers in their first job and those with special needs. Teresa was a kind hearted person who would do anything she could to lend a helping hand. To know her was to love her and especially her feisty attitude. Teresa had a love for Mexican Rice, Chicken Fajitas, Tamales, and McDonald’s Diet Coke. She loved flowers, gardening, crocheting, country fairs, festivals, and decorating for every holiday. Teresa’s biggest love was for her dogs, she had a huge heart for Poodles. Teresa touched so many lives and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Teresa is survived by her parents, Norm and Mary Ealey; her sister, Doris (Tom) Ealey Devens; her nieces and nephews, T.J., Erin, and Samantha Devens; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to send a special Thank You to Teresa’s friends and co-workers for supporting her through her lung transplant journey.

Visitation for Teresa will be on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. The family has requested those attending the visitation to please wear a mask. Graveside service will take place at Arlington Memorial Cemetery, 6202 Charles St., Rockford, IL 61108, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements made by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
