Tammy M. Gnutek

Tammy Marie Gnutek, 56, passed away on June 1, 2021. Born on November 12, 1964 in Elgin, Illinois daughter to George Strombach and Paulette Adams. Tammy grew up to become a fun and beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with people and family; whether that be showing off her skill of winning Rummy and Yahtzee, or sitting and enjoying a drink watching a country concert. She equaled that fun energy out with quiet time, enjoying her gardening, beloved coy pond, and jacuzzi. Nothing would beat traveling in Tammy’s book. She thoroughly enjoyed going to different states , or anywhere that had a beach. Her most recent trip was to visit her daughter where she got invaluable quality time with family, and a little time at the pool.

She will be missed by those who loved her most, her companion, Murphy King; Children Christopher (Tonya) Vergara and Allison (Brandon ) Hermann; grandchildren Chloe, Rio, Kai Vergara as well as Liam and Aria Hermann; her mother Paulette (Tom) Schaefer; siblings Debbie Strombach, Michelle (Dan) Farrell, and Nick Strombach; Nieces and nephews Rene, Jake, Jordan, Lauren and Kyle. She was predeceased by her father and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A visitation will take place for Tammy on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108.
