Suzanne A. Rammon

July 9, 1949 — August 25, 2022

Suzanne A. Rammon, 73, Rockford, died peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at home.

Born July 9, 1949 in San Jose, CA, daughter of Joseph and Anita Brindal Ciceri. Sue graduated from Boylan High School and attended Rock Valley College and Quincy State University.

She married her best friend, Richard Rammon, on January 31, 1976 in Rockford.

For forty-six years, Sue and Rick shared a long and interesting life together from Wisconsin to Washington to Oregon to Atlanta and back home to Rockford. They supported each other and were a beautiful team raising two children and many beloved dogs.

Prior to beginning their family Suzanne was a talented goldsmith, who in her earlier years had been employed by Busch Jewelers.

She lived as a free and independent spirit who cared deeply about others. Sue lived life on her own terms. She was always there to offer a smile, say a positive word, and give a hug. She was involved in her children’s school activities and loved music, children and dogs. A true bibliophile, she surrounded herself with books, never leaving the house without one in hand.

While in Atlanta, she volunteered at a local food pantry and enjoyed helping people in need. Suzanne never met a rescue animal she didn’t love, especially dogs. Animals were always an important part of her life and she loved them unconditionally.

Survivors include her husband, Rick; children, Ari Rammon and Michael Rammon; sisters Gaelyn Hoff and Victoria Ciceri; brother, Rodney Ciceri; sister-in-law, Joyce Rammon (Margit) nieces, Stephanie Caltagerone (Jeff Lindquist) Carrie Hoff (Charles Ramos) and Amelia Besco; great-nephew, Phillip Caltagerone; and her beloved dog, Riley. Predeceased by her parents.

No services are planned for this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzanne’s name to Shelter Care Ministries, 218 7th Street, Rockford, IL 61104. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Extend condolences and share memories at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.

We feel Sue would want to leave you with these words from one of her favorite animals, Winnie the Pooh - “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever”.
