Susan Urbas

Susan Kay Bowman Urbas, 72, passed away at Generations at Neighbors in Byron, on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born on June 5, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Adolph and Jean (Schiewetz) Urbas. She graduated from University of Michigan, earning her master’s in public policy, and later Loyola College, class of 1989, earning her law degree, and since then has been practicing as a Lawyer. Susan was very successful in her schooling and career, as she always had a passion for becoming an attorney. She was active with competitive rowing, and when she studied gerontology at University of Illinois Chicago, she helped rebuild their rowing team. She was a great organizer and promoter and had many skills.

She is survived by her brother, Robert “Bob” (Dagmara) Urbas; stepfather, Robert Porter; stepbrothers, Tom and Tim Porter; and nephew, Michal Ojrzanowski. She is predeceased by her parents.
