Susan K. Spink

Susan K. (Cole) Spink, 67, of Pecatonica, IL, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home on April 2, 2024, in Pecatonica. Susan was born on November 26, 1956, to Norman and Shirley (Sansom) Cole. She was a proud graduate of East High School in 1974. Susan married her best friend, Charles Spink on April 16,1987 and settled into her forever home in Pecatonica, Illinois. Susan had a zest for life, she loved music, sometimes she could be found in her favorite room in the home cutting loose to the old vinyl records and dancing, her free spirit made it impossible to not join in. Other times she found her peace in watching her fireplace and relaxing with her furry babies, gardening, and admiring her angel collection Susan loved spending time with friends and family she was what we would call the life of the party, her laughter showed how much love she had for everyone in the room. Her kindness and love for the people in her life will be remembered always.

Susan is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Chuck Spink; her daughters, Nicole (Matthew) Schaney, Cedarville Illinois and Silence Whaley, Sterling, IL. Her grandchildren, Brieanna Schaney, Zoie Schaney, Mattie Schaney, Maddox Schaney, Autumn Whaley, Miley Whaley, and James Whaley; her stepchildren, Chuck (Linda) Spink Jr. and their 4 children, Todd Spink and his 3 children, Jennifer (Chuck) Spink and their 2 children, David (Terri) Spink and their 2 children; her siblings, Chris (Stanton) Seeberg and Dave Cole; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her grandparents, parents, sister Terry Cole, brother Bob Cole.

As we bid farewell to Susan K. Spink, we honor her legacy of liveliness and warmth that illuminated the lives of many. A celebration of life for Susan will be held on April 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hot Rod Nellie’s, 122 S. Jackson Rd, Pecatonica, IL. A Venmo is set up for Susan.
